Do we sleep on the mountain?
No. This is a one-day tour, departing Antigua at 11:00 AM and returning around 11:00 PM. There is no overnight stay.
How demanding is the hike?
This is a strenuous mountain hike with a sustained ascent and a descent after dark. A good level of fitness and comfortable hiking shoes are important. Tell us about your hiking experience so we can help you decide if the tour is a good fit.
Are the summit and sunset views guaranteed?
No. Weather, visibility, trail conditions, and the group's pace can affect the route and views. The guide will assess conditions during the hike. Fuego's volcanic activity also varies and cannot be guaranteed.
Does the tour include hiking on Fuego?
This itinerary focuses on Acatenango and views toward Fuego. It does not include a separate hike onto Fuego.
